Meet The Team

Mohamed Arafa, DDS

Dr. Mohamed Arafa completed his undergraduate studies at Cairo University in Egypt before attending dental school at Columbia University. He continues his dental education and training regularly and has completed his advanced education in general dentistry as well as achieved a fellowship in implant dentistry. Dr. Arafa’s advanced implant training includes implant placement and restoration as well as training in mini dental implants. He has placed over 2,000 implants in career so far.

Dr. Arafa has practiced in the Fredericksburg area for over 12 years and in 2013 received the Top Dentist award for general implant dentistry. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association® and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Arafa has two daughters with a passion for music and sports. Outside the office, Dr. Arafa enjoys aviation and has achieved his license as a private pilot.

Waldo Valdivia, DDS, AEGD

Dr. Waldo Valdivia completed his undergraduate studies in Peru before attending New York University for dental school, graduating in 2002. He completes over 300 hours of continuing education each year and has completed a two-year maxi course for implant dentistry through the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He is also a certified Invisalign® provider and was named Resident of the Year by the AGD.

Dr. Valdivia has practiced in the Fredericksburg area since 2019 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a member of the Hispanic Dental Association. As a dentist, he is committed to providing quality, comprehensive treatment and helping his patients establish happy, healthy and beautiful smiles.

Dr. Valdivia and his wife, Liz, have two children, Mizela and Oliver. Outside the office, his hobbies include pickleball and golf. He also enjoys volunteering on mission trips to Peru.

Sara

Office Manager

Sara began her dental career as a dental assistant and after six years began working at the front desk before moving into office management. She joined our team in August 2021 and enjoys being part of a team and dental family that always makes patient care their first priority. Sara works hard to help each member of our team do their part and keep our office running smoothly.

Sara is a dog mom of two. Outside the office, she is a part-time personal trainer and an avid snowboarder and marathoner.

Leanna

Business Administrator

Leanna joined our team in December 2018, and she appreciates being part of a practice that always puts the patient first and which cares for each other like family and works as a team. Leanna handles all clerical duties in our office, from preauthorizations to keeping our patients’ accounts updated to assisting our patients in understanding their benefits and scheduling their appointments. She is always looking for ways to learn and grow, and she never shies away from a challenge!

Leanna has an associate degree in elementary education. She has three children and outside the office, enjoys walking, riding her bike, cooking (and eating!) and working on cars.

Carolina

Front Desk Receptionist | Insurance Specialist

Carolina joined our team in December 2021. She loves being part of a great team, and she is always ready and able to answer questions from our patients and our team about insurance and treatments.

Amanda

Registered Dental Hygienist

Amanda graduated from her hygiene program in Connecticut in 2015, and she started working with our wonderful team in May 2022. She loves working at the go-to dental office for the Fredericksburg area, meeting people from all different walks of life. She enjoys educating her patients and helping them achieve great oral hygiene.

Amanda is very family oriented, and when she is not at the office, she likes to craft, party plan and watch movies at home.

Rebecca

Dental Assistant

Rebecca joined our team in March 2022. She always makes sure each patient she meets is comfortable and happy. She loves being part of a team that is caring and committed to helping people improve their smiles.

Rebecca has two children and a puppy. In her spare time, she enjoys horse riding, visiting wineries, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Kayla

Dental Assistant

Kayla joined our team in May 2022, and she is currently studying to become an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA). She loves interacting with our patients and the people she works with, and she does what she can to help anywhere an extra hand is needed.

Kayla has three younger brothers and a 3-year-old Cavapoo named Luna. She spends most of her free time with her brothers or going on adventures and hikes with her dog.
