Dental Crowns & Bridges

A Full, Working Bite Again

A cracked tooth, a worn-down filling, or a gap left by a missing tooth doesn’t have to change how you eat, talk, or smile. Dr. Waris and Dr. Arafa build crowns and bridges custom-shaped and shaded to match your own smile.

Two ways to restore

What a Crown Does. What a Bridge Does.

What a crown does and what a bridge doesTwo panels. First, a cracked tooth in cross-section, with enamel, dentin and two roots set in bone: a custom cap fits over it and covers the whole visible tooth. Second, a side view of a row of teeth with one missing: a healthy anchor tooth on each side of a gap. A bridge is seated on the two anchors and its replacement tooth fills the gap between them.wholevisibletoothCROWNGUMTOOTHANCHORANCHORGAPREPLACEMENT
A crown is a cap over one tooth. A bridge fills a gap, anchored to the healthy teeth on either side, or in some cases to a dental implant.
01

Crowns

A custom cap that fits over a tooth that’s cracked, worn, decayed, or been through a root canal. It covers the whole visible tooth, restoring strength and shape while matching the color of the teeth around it.

02

Bridges

Fills the gap left by one or more missing teeth, anchoring the replacement to the healthy teeth on either side, or in some cases to a dental implant. A fixed option that doesn’t come out at night.

03

When neither is the right tool

Missing several teeth or most of an arch? A denture (or an implant-supported option) may serve you better. We’ll tell you honestly which fits your case, at your exam. Not an upsell.

Crowns are also the standard follow-up after a root canal: a treated tooth needs the extra strength a cap provides. Learn about root canal treatment →

Who treats you

Planned and Delivered by the Same Team

From a single crown to a full set of teeth, your restoration is planned by the doctor who delivers it, with lab work handled by our own lab technicians.

And if an implant-supported option makes sense for your case, Dr. Arafa places and restores it himself, so nothing gets split across three offices.

Crown & Bridge Questions

Often a decade or more with normal brushing, flossing, and checkups, though this varies by material and how the tooth is used day to day.

Yes. Your crown or bridge is custom-shaped and shaded to match the teeth around it, not a generic size or color, with the shaping and shading done alongside our in-house lab team.

We numb the area before any reshaping, and most patients find it more comfortable than expected. Sedation options are available if you’re anxious.

Often, yes. A bridge can span a few teeth in a row, anchored by healthy teeth (or an implant) on either end. We’ll look at your specific gap at a consult.

Call us. A temporary should hold you over comfortably until your final restoration is ready. We’ll adjust it if something doesn’t feel right.

Yes. Insurance often covers part of a crown or bridge, we’re in-network with most major PPO plans, and we accept Medicaid. We’ll check your specific coverage before your visit so you know what to expect.
