The Chip You Keep Covering, Fixed in a Visit
Cosmetic bonding repairs a chip, closes a small gap, or reshapes a tooth that’s always looked a little different, often in one appointment. A smile makeover is the bigger picture: a plan built around what you’d change, and just as much, what you’d keep.

Resin, Shaped by Hand, Hardened in Place
Bonding uses a tooth-colored composite resin, shaped and hardened right on your tooth. Dr. Waris or Dr. Arafa applies the resin by hand, shapes it to match the tooth beside it, and hardens it with a curing light, usually finishing the same visit you start.
A smile makeover combines bonding with whitening, veneers, or Invisalign, depending on what’s actually bothering you. Not every makeover needs all four: some patients need one bonded tooth and a round of whitening. We build it around your smile, not a package.
The Conservative First Option
Bonding works well for…
It’s not right for every case. Bonding isn’t as durable as porcelain under heavy bite forces, if you grind at night, we’ll suggest a nightguard alongside it, or talk through whether veneers fit better. And bonding won’t move a tooth; crowding is an Invisalign conversation.
We’ll tell you honestly which category your case falls into, before you spend anything on the wrong fix.
Usually Done in One Visit
Smile assessment
What you’d change, what you’d keep. Then we check your teeth and bite to confirm bonding is the right tool.
Shade matching
The resin is color-matched to your natural teeth, so a bonded tooth blends in.
Minimal prep
The surface is lightly roughened so the resin bonds securely. Most bonding needs no anesthesia.
Sculpting
The resin is layered and shaped by hand to match the tooth’s natural contour.
Curing & polishing
Each layer is hardened with a curing light, then polished to blend in, typically all in one visit.

If Bonding Solves It, We Won’t Sell You Veneers
We start a cosmetic conversation the way we start every conversation here: by asking what you actually want, then telling you honestly what it’ll take to get there, and what it won’t.
Dr. Waris and Dr. Arafa both see cosmetic cases, and either one will walk you through your options in plain language. If you’re nervous about the chair, we go at your pace, and our team includes Spanish-speaking staff, so this conversation happens in whichever language is easiest for you.
I absolutely love this practice. Very professional and friendly staff. It’s great to feel valued from the time you check in to the time you leave.
One Chipped Tooth Is Not a Five-Tooth Plan
Bonding cost depends on how many teeth need it and how much shaping each one takes. We don’t publish a flat price, because that wouldn’t be honest for every patient: we’ll give you a real quote at your consultation.
If bonding is repairing damage from a chip or crack, insurance may cover part of it; purely cosmetic reshaping usually isn’t. We’re in-network with most major PPO plans, accept Medicaid, and offer financing plus in-house payment plans.
Bonding Questions
Bonding is resin shaped directly on your tooth, usually in one visit, with little to no enamel removed. Veneers are custom porcelain shells made in a lab, typically two visits and some enamel removal. Veneers last longer and resist stains better; bonding is faster and more conservative.
It varies by how many teeth are bonded and how you treat them: coffee, wine, and nail-biting all wear on a bonded tooth faster than natural enamel. Many patients get several years before a touch-up, and repairs are usually quick.
Most bonding needs no anesthesia at all: it’s one of the more comfortable cosmetic options we offer. If we’re also treating a cavity underneath, we’ll numb the area first.
Often, yes. A single chip is one of the more straightforward bonding cases, and it’s common to walk out with the repair finished and polished that same visit.
Resin can pick up stain a bit more easily than natural enamel over time, which is why we recommend whitening before bonding, not after, so it matches your brightest shade.
Both, when needed. If a bonded or reshaped tooth is also tied to a bite issue, we’ll fold that into the plan.
